History of Disney Freaks

Disney Freaks was first founded on May 1, 2003. We did not start at Yahooor Bravenet though. We
actually started on Tripod. We did not move over to our current location on Geocities until June 14,
2003. We decided to move over to Geocities because Tripod did not offer what we were looking for. In
2009 Geocities announced they would be shutting down. That is when we decided to move Disney
Freaks to Bravenet. Then Bravenet decided they were cutting back on their Free Services in August of 2009. This cut
back would cause us to loose most of our pages, picture and information. So we finally decided to buy a domain and
www.disney-freaks.com was born.

We have had 2 slogans over our years on the web. During our first year and a half our slogan was "Disney Freaks: Where
you Become a Freak of Disney!". Eventually we realized how lame that really was and we became "Disney Freaks: Your
Key to the Magic!" We came up with "Your Key to the Magic" from the cards you get when you check into a Walt
Disney World Resort hotel which are considered to be your "Key to the World", and now Disney Freaks is "Your Key to
the Magic".

Disney Freaks also created a Disney Freaks Forum. Where people could discuss and talk about
Disney. Our first forum was Founded on June 19, 2003. We then moved our forum to its current
location at disneyfreaks.proboards33.com/index.cgi on June 25, 2004. We currently have about 230
members.

Disney Freaks is also home to a Yahoo Group called Disney_Freaks Group. This group actually started
out as DisneyFreaksGroup on August 11, 2003. We then renamed it Disney_Freaks Group on October
30, 2005. The Disney_Freaks Group is another place where Disney fans can chat. We also feauture
Daily Puzzlers, Daily Trivia, Who Said It?, Name That Tune, Tips for the Parks, Disney History,
Disney Fun Facts, and Disney Newsletter provided by Mickey News. We currently have about 100
members. Due to low respone on the "Dailys" the message posting to the Disney_Freaks Group by
Disney Freaks was suspended on July 25, 2007. The Group however does remain open and you are
still able to join.

Disney Freaks also created a webring named Disney Freaks Webring on June 26, 2003. This links
Disney fan websites. We currently have about 20 members. However due to low activity, The Disney
Freaks Webring was closed on July 30, 2007.

Disney Freaks also has a Topsites named Disney Freaks Topsites, which was founded on August 26,
2003. This lists Disney Fan sites as well. This has about 30 members to date. Due to Low Activity at
the Disney Freaks Topsites, it was closed on July 30, 2007.

We also acquired a site named Hollow Bastion, which was a website all about the hit video game
Kingdom Hearts. This site was founded on September 19, 2003. Disney Freaks acquired this site on
February 28, 2005. Unfortunately on July 30, 2006 Hollow Bastion was closed due to low vistorship.

Disney Freaks over the course of time became involved in web competitions. We are currently a member of Salem's
Web Competition. In the past we have been a member of The Rumbles, Fantasy Fights, Battle of All Time (BOAT),
Country Bunkins Web Comp, TSM Web Comp and some others. We have been a member at Salem's Web Competition
for Several Years now.

We have had over 20,000 hits to our website to date and are celebrating 6 years on the web.
